PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter which has a flexible tip electrode by arranging a catheter body containing a lengthy single lumen having a compression coil against a compression force. SOLUTION: A catheter 10 having a flexible tip comprises a lengthy catheter body 11, a tip part 12 for holding an electrode at a distal part of the catheter body 11 and a control handle 13 at the foreground end of the catheter body 11 and the catheter body 11 has a central lumen. A compression coil 32 is located in the central lumen of the catheter body 11 and the distal end and the foreground end thereof are fastened on the distal end and the foreground end of the catheter body 11 by an adhesive junction. A tunnel made up of a small piece of a tube 41 is provided at each adhesive junction part. A pull wire 30 is penetrated into the lumen off the shaft of the tip part through the compression coil 32 from the control handle 13 and mounted on the wall of the tip part at the distal end thereof. Lead wires 34 for electrodes is penetrated into the lumen off the other shaft of the tip part through the tunnels and the central lumen of the catheter body 11 from the control handle 13 and electrically connected to the respective electrodes. |
