<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute stable rolling even when the flatness of rolls is large and to prevent the generation of breaking of a sheet and ear in a wide range of rolling conditions when the flatness of the rolls is small. SOLUTION: A plastic coefficient or a flatness ratio of work rolls are calculated with respect to the rolling conditions to be set and, when this plastic coefficient or the flatness ratio of the work rolls is larger than a prescribed value which is preset, the target rolling load on the dull rolling rolls 1 of the final stand is set based on the rolling load on bright rolling rolls 2 of stands of the preceding stage and, when the plastic coefficient or the flatness ratio of the work rolls is smaller than the prescribed value which is preset, the rolling load calculated by a theoritical model of rolling in accordance with the rolling conditions to be set is set as the target rolling load on the dull rolls 1 of the final stand.</p> |
