A stationary plug device with a variable length box-clamp, in particular a plug device for positionally variably driven devices whose drive is provided via a flexible mains conductor at the end of which is fixed a mobile coupling preferably a rubber coupling, and consisting of a stationary plug-part (3) with a hollow cylindrical shaped housing (2) axially enclosing the plug-part (3), and on which a box-clamp (6) consisting of two limbs (7,8) and a web (9) is hinge-mounted by means of two hinges (13,14) as a retaining device for receiving the conductor (12) in a jaw-opening (10). The length of the box-clamp can be matched to the respective length of the coupling (11) mounted on the plug-part (3). On the upper edge of the hollow cylindrical housing (2) which is aligned approximately to the height of the plug-part (3), are moulded two mutually opposite facing bearings (4,5). The box- clamp is specifically swivel-mounted in the two bearings (4,5) tightly against the housing (2) wall.
