The indole derivatives inhibit HIV reversive transcriptaseand are effective for the prevention and for the treatment of HIVinfections, as well as for the treatment of the Acquired ImmuneDeficiency Syndrome (AIDS). They are used as pure compounds. astheir pharmaceutically acceptable salts, as active components ofpharmaceutical compositions, separately or in combination withother antiviral agents, as anti-infectious agents,immunomodulators, antibiotics or vaccines. The invention alsorelates to methods of treatment of AIDS and for the prevention oftreatment of viral infections caused by HIV.
