From an impression (5) of the bone implant area (2) the geometry of that area is determined by a measurement device (3,4). The reinforcement section is built up from artificial bone material based on geometrical data derived using computer aided design (CAD). The impression can be coated with an anti-reflection powder before measurement and can be made of plaster.
