<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability for the supply/cut of power and to completely prevent power from being forgotten to turn off, by providing a detection means for recognizing/judging whether a person exists in front of a personal computer or not, and controlling the supply or cut of power to the peripheral equipment of the personal computer. SOLUTION: A hand detector 1-A detecting the presence or absence of an operator 4 is arranged at the upper part of the front of a personal computer 5 main body in the personal computer 5. When the detector 1-A judges that the operator 4 exists, main power is supplied while main body power 2-A is cut. While peripheral equipment glower 2-B is cut, peripheral equipment power is supplied. When the detector 1-A judges that the operator 4 becomes absent, a timer is started and the time of an operator absent state is measured. When setting time passes, peripheral equipment power 2-B is cut. When the operator is judged to exist during that time, a processing is interrupted.</p> |
