Interior rear view mirror for motor vehicle which protects occupants from the sun

The mirror is mounted in front of the drivers position and behind the vehicle windscreen (4). It has a case and a reflective surface carried by the case. The case extends vertically upwards to intercept the rays of the sun (13) which are directed towards the user (5) of the vehicle. The vertical extension to the case is fixed to the upper edge of the case.
