Each ready-made part system comprises two matched half shells. The half shells are formed in accordance with the tongue and groove system. The length of the ready-made part systems can be matched to the geometrical characteristics of the lift beam to be clad. The complete steel construction can be encased in a protective fireproof material. Through the reduced personnel costs, the overall expenditure involved in the complete project can be lowered. For the repair of lift beams, the locally worn areas of the beam are intermediately repaired using ready-made parts. The lower worn area is broken out and the steel construction is cleaned and repaired.
