PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the length of a whole device by arranging a cylinder at the front side of a clamping device to drive clamp levers to be open/closed wile keeping the maximum rotational diameters of the clamp levers small, thereby making the whole device more lighter and still performing easy maintenance. SOLUTION: A pair of clamp levers 3, 4 are pivotally connected at their rear sides via a coaxial clamp lever supporting point pin 5 to a clamp housing 2 provided at the front side of a clamping device 1 in a pivotal manner. A cylinder 10 to drive a pair of clamp levers 3, 4 to be open/closed is arranged at the rear center of the clamp housing 2 and the cylinder 10 moved forward and backward of the clamp housing 2 in front thereof is pin-connected at both ends, open to both sides of the piston rod 11, to a pair of clamp levers 3, 4 at the middles via links 12, 13, respectively.
