Easily assembled sealed edging for glass sheet

A glass edging, for holding a sheet which closes an opening, has a basic body with a face which seats on the sheet and which is joined at an angle by a transition region to an end face, an elastic sealing lip for application onto the sheet being fixed in the transition region and, in the undeformed state, projecting beyond the seating face. The novelty is that the transition region is formed as a continuous recess (10) in which the sealing lip (3) is fixed, the upper edge of the sealing lip (3) lying close to its fixing location (11) in the end face (9). Preferably, the basic body (2) is made of harder material than that of the lip (3) and the edging is produced by co-extrusion. Also claimed is a sectional door having a sheet (8) held by the above edging in at least one sectional panel.
