<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject compound by a safe and simple operation capable of readily providing a primary amine by reacting an alcoholic compound with a carbamic acid ester. SOLUTION: (A) An alcoholic compound of formula I (R1 is an alkyl, an alkenyl, an alkynyl, an aralkyl, or an aryl; when R1 is not an aryl, R2 and R3 are each an alkyl, an alkenyl, an alkynyl, etc., and when R1 is an aryl, R2 and R3 are each H, an alkyl, an alkenyl, an alkynyl, etc.), is reacted with (B) a carbamic acid ester of formula II (R4 is an alkyl, an aralkyl or an aryl) in the presence of an acid [preferably a mineral acid, a sulfonic acid compound of formula III (R5 is an alkyl, an aralkyl, or an aryl) to provide (C) the objective N-substituted carbamic acid ester of formula IV. The obtained component C can safely and readily provide a primary amine by hydrolysis.</p> |
