The handgrip is designed to be used on e.g. a supermarket shopping trolley. It may be formed from a number of mechanically interlocking segments (1), with end segments (2) that fix to brackets. A specific segment may house e.g. a lock mechanism and this can be located in different positions. A unit (5) with electronic components may also be included.
