PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform thermal transfer with satisfactory sensitivity of transfer of an ink layer and sharpness of a print image by incorporating specific ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer in at least one of thermal transfer layers on a base material. SOLUTION: As vehicle in at least one layer of one or two or more thermal transfer layer formed on a base material, ethylenevinyl acetate copolymer containing 20 wt.% or less of a content of vinyl acetate and having a melt index of 6000 g/10 min or more is used. Since the copolymer has satisfactory fluidity at the time of transfer as compared with conventional vehicle used for a thermal transfer layer, the thermal transfer layer containing the copolymer has excellent sensitivity of transfer at the time of thermal transfer and sharpness of a print image and can ensure satisfactory sensitivity of transfer particularly in the case of high speed printing. Further, adhesive properties to a material to be transferred or base material can be in no way inferior to prior art. |
