PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a rotary drum device, which has a supply/discharge port for treated material at the body of a drum to perform surface preparation, cleaning, polishing and burring while opening/closing a cover, and to reliably lock the movement of the cover when opened/closed. SOLUTION: A cover 10 which is rotated inside to be opened is supported by a drum 3. On a supporting shaft 11 outside the drum 3, a scroll plate 13 concentrical with the shaft 11 is mounted to be relatively rotatable. A roller 18 provided at the free end of an arm 17 is inserted into a scroll groove 13a in the scroll plate, and the scroll plate 13 is rotated with a motor to rotate the arm 17 and a hinge shaft 15 connected thereto for opening/closing the cover 10. The roller 18 reaches the end of the scroll groove 13a, where the cover 10 is completely closed and opened, to transmit rotationally driving force through the scroll plate 13, the arm 17 and the cover 10 to the drum 3. In this way, the opening/closing of the cover 10 and the rotation of the drum 3 are performed with the same driving source and locking force works on the cover. |
