The invention relates to a device which enables considerable compacting fores to be produced by small roller and vehicle masses. The device has at least one vibrating roller (60) accommodated in a guide frame (42), said vibrating roller (60) being connected to a travelling device (10) via a vertical joint. A movement device (20) for the vibrating roller (60) is located between the vertical joint of the travelling device (10) and said vibrating roller (60). The vibrating roller (60) is equipped with a hydrostatic vibrating drive (66) and a hydrostatic travel drive (64). The travel drive can be switched over to idle running and travel mode as desired, the hydraulic oil from the travel drive being circulated during idle running for lubrication purposes. |
