PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of flickers in an upper end or a lower end of a picture. SOLUTION: An address electrode drive part 15a of a drive part 15 controls data write-in to a PDP 12 based on the write-in data supplied from an access control part 13. At this time, the drive part 15 writes the data in an odd line and its lower even line by the data of the odd line in an odd field, and performs this display on the PDP 12. Further, the drive part 15 writes the same data in the even line and its lower odd line in an even field, and performs this display on the PDP 12. Then, the drive part 15 writes in the first line data by the second line data also in the even field. Thus, the display is performed always even in the first line, and the occurrence of the flickers is prevented. |
