PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make further miniaturization possible of a transmission while avoiding interference of a parking gear with a mechanism in the periphery thereof, relating to the belt type transmission for a vehicle. SOLUTION: In a belt type transmission for a vehicle changing speed change ratio between drive/driven pulleys 12, 18 by changing a groove width of the drive/driven pulleys 12, 18, the transmission is constituted such that between a torque converter housing 3 and the driven pulley 18, a parking gear 16 rotated integrally with the driven pulley 18 is arranged, and a web 16a of the parking gear 16 is displaced in reverse direction to the driven pulley 18 relating to a tooth surface 16b of the parking gear 16.
