PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a customer owned and maintained radio telephone system capable of coping with hand-over at a low cost by composing it from one master base station connected to a telephone line network and a slave base station connected through a communication path serially to the master base station and making the master base station manage the position information of a mobile terminal station present inside the communication area of the slave base station. SOLUTION: The master base station CS1 whose control program 13 rewritten is connected to a public line network PSTN and the slave base stations CS2 and CS3 are serially connected to the master base station CS1. The master base station CS1 manages the position information relating to its own communication area A1 and the communication areas A2 and A3 of the respective slave stations based on a position management table. Updating registration is performed at the time of the position registration of a mobile terminal PS, position management table retrieval is performed at the time of call origination and termination and at the time of the hand-over and between which base stations CS that the communication path is to be established for the respective base stations CS1-CS3 is controlled. |
