A toilet composition comprising at least 50 percent by weight of a relatively inert thermoplastic moldable water soluble organic polymer. Additional components of the toilet composition will be active components such as cleansing and disinfecting agents, and certain inert materials such as fillers. The composition is formed into a shaped element by a process involving melting the polymer component.
