The invention relates to an interface of a monitor communicating with a personal computer (PC), and in particular to a monitor communicating with a PC which can read and write the data of a microcomputer by the keyboard of the PC through the embodiment of an interface by utilizing a COM port of the PC in parallel with the micromputer of the monitor communicating with a printer port of the PC. The conventional monitor communicating with the PC has a problem that the communication is perfomed only by utilizing the print port of the PC, and that the user uses the printer through connection of a printer cable, thereby causing inconvenience in controlling the display of the monitor. According to the invention, an interface is further embodied by the RS232C communication, for which the COM port of the PC is applied to the serial communication using the conventional printer port of the PC, so that the data in the microcomputer of the monitor can be read and written by utilizing the PC printer port and the COM port, thereby controlling the monitor more effectively.
