IDENTIFICATION CAR FOR ANIMAL EMBRYO FREEZING STRAW

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an identification cap for an animal embryo freezing straw utilized for formation, preservation and transfer process of frozen embryos in the field of the embryo transfer of mammals. SOLUTION: One end side of a silicon tube 5 opened at both ends is fitted like a cap to the top end of a plastic straw 1 which is immersed in an upright state into liquid nitrogen 2 housed in a canister 3 of a liquid nitrogen cylinder and in which an animal embryo is frozen and preserved by seating. A small piece 4 of a polyvinyl chloride(PVC) plate on which the identification number of the embryo E is writable is inserted to the other end side of the silicon tube 5. At least the part written with the identification number of the embryo E of the PVC plate is projected upward from the liquid nitrogen 2 level in the canister 3 or upward from the canister 3 and the straw 1 is preserved and taken out in this state.
