<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability, also to miniaturize a device itself and to improve the mobility of an information terminal by detecting the moving direction and the moving amount of a skin part on an electrode array from the change of an electric characteristic value between electrodes of an electrode array. SOLUTION: An analog switch is controlled and the same lines of an electrode array 1 are connected when personal identification is requested. A finger 4 that should perform signal detection is pressed along an orthogonal direction to the arrangement direction of the same line electrodes. In such cases, resistance values of a finger 4 surface between adjacent electrodes are sequentially read by switching the analog switch in a longitudinal direction of the finger 4. When the finger 4 is brought into contact with n pieces of electrodes, the resistance value between electrodes changes in accordance with the contact area of the finger 4 that comes into contact between adjacent contact electrodes. For instance, potential difference of both ends of reference resistance has a large value at a place where the contact area of the finger 4 and electrodes is wide, and potential difference has the smaller value as the contact area becomes the narrower. Then, it is possible to identify the person himself and other persons by comparing these potential differences.</p> |
