<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a device to perform operation correcting a track during a turn easily and without a feeling of physical disorder, relating to a steering device with steering angle transmitting ratio variable, capable of reducing a steering control amount. SOLUTION: In a steering device having a steering angle transmitting ratio variable steering mechanism capable of changing in accordance with a car speed, steering angle transmission ratio which is ratio of a steering wheel steering angle to a wheel steering angle, the device has a steering angle detection means 4 detecting a steering angle of a driver, line of sight detection means 9 detecting a line of sight direction of the driver, and a steering reaction force generating means set to increase steering angle transmitting ratio in accordance with increasing a steering angle detected by the steering angle detection means 4 also set so as to increase steering reaction force transmitted to the driver in accordance with increasing a steering angle and set so as to make steering reaction force changeable in accordance with an interposition angle between a line of sight direction and a vehicle advancing direction. Since steering reaction force determined by a car speed and steering angle is corrected in accordance with a line of sight of the driver, adjusting control of a steering angle in a direction expected by the driver is facilitated, driving stability during a turn is improved.</p> |
