FIELD: generation of steam from water; water heating systems. SUBSTANCE: boiler plant includes electrode boiler with shut-off steam valve. feed tank with water level regulator, downtake and uptake pipe lines, feed water intake device arranged in tank and made in form of vertical cylindrical housing with through slit along its generatrix. Lower passage area of housing is tightly connected with inlet of downtake pipe line and upper intake section of housing is located at level of regulator; inner diameter of housing is equal to inner diameter of downtake; area of passage section of slit is equal to area of passage section of housing of intake device, thus providing for reliable and stable starting of plant, attaining rated mode of operation and reliable operation in rated mode.
