A condom for enhanced female stimulation during intercourse (1) is manufactured by a dip moulding process. A conventionally shaped former (10) is dipped into a latex or liquid polyurethane bath and a relatively viscous material is applied by a dispensing gun (11) to form one or more monolithic projections (6). The mandrel may be subsequently dipped into a further liquid bath to sandwich the projections between two layers.
