<p>The invention describes novel 1-arylimidazoles of formula (I) wherein particular symbols are defined in the description. Residual X is preferably S(O)nR1, in which R1 is an alkyl group, preferably a methyl group, which is fully substituted by halogen atoms, and n is 0, 1 and 2; Y is selected from a hydrogen or halogen atom or a group selected from methylsulfenyl, methylsulfinyl or methylsulfonyl; Z is a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom or alkyl, preferably methyl; and R2, R3, R4, R5 and R6 are selected from a hydrogen or a halogen atom or a group selected from an unsubstituted or halo-substituted alkyl, alkoxy, alkylsulfenyl, alkylsulfinyl or alkylsulfonyl. The invention further describes agents useful for the control of arthropods, compositions of the compounds, as well as methods of pests extermination using these compounds.</p> |
