The control device (4) decodes the received radio signals containing the time information and compares the decoded time (t) with the actual time (T) displayed by the clock (5), to allow the latter to be corrected. A defined identification signal is transmitted within the radio signal, for identifying the transmitter or the country or origin, with the correction of the displayed time limited to less than an hour, in dependence on the decoded identification signal, so that the time is not set to the wrong time zone.
