PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely support the head part of an occupant in collision without narrowing the compartment. SOLUTION: An air bag body 20 in its development state has such a cross sectional shape as having a bottom side section enlarged part 30 which is enlarged in the compartment side, observed from the longitudinal direction of a vehicle. The bottom side section enlarged part 30 is set to approximately parallel to a tension line connecting a front side fixing point and a rear side fixing point and is set in such a position as supporting the neck 66B of an occupant 66. The air bag body 20 is formed by folding up a cloth in the bottom end part, the circumference except the bottom edge part is sewn by a sewing thread, the outside part and the inside part of the compartment of the cloth are coupled with a top strap 36 and a bottom strap 38 with each other, and the cross sectional shape in development is so set as to hold a shape having the bottom side section enlarged part 30. |
