The invention relates to a security device (1) for electronic surveillance of articles, comprising two at least partially overlapping layers (2,3) of conducting paths (4,5) which are connected to each other via a dielectric adhesive layer (6). The invention provides a security device (1) in which the risk of reactivation is reduced once it has been deactivated. To achieve this the upper (3) and lower layer (2) of conducting paths (4,5) include at least one winding and are sufficiently resistant to enable the safety device to bend in the areas that are substantially devoid of conducting paths (4,5) in the case of mechanical stress.
