A gas cartridge has a chamber 13 for containing gas under pressure. An outlet 8 at the forward end of the cartridge, may receive a projectile. A duct, conveniently in the form of a valve spool 24, extends through the chamber and opens into the outlet. A valve controls discharge of gas from the chamber into the rear end of the duct. The valve is opened in response to the depression of an actuating member 18 at the rear end of the cartridge. The valve spool 24 is movable axially and is provided with a valve member 31 at its rear end. |
