<p>PURPOSE:To realize the quick heating, to enhance the emission life time property and to simplify the manufacturing process of the cathode assembly, by distributing fixedly the pellet coated with the electronic radiation material at the position corresponding to the heat electron radiation area on the cap. CONSTITUTION:Pellet 10 is adhered fixedly through welding and other method at the area corresponding to the electron beam transmission hole of the grid electrode on cap 2. Electronic radiation material 3 is coated on the upper surface of pellet 10. Thus, indirectly-heated cathode assembly 4 is formed. Under the normal operating conditions of the cathode-ray tube, the heat electron radiation area of meterial 3 layer in assembly 4 is in nearly agreement with the maximum electron beam transmission hole of the grid electrode, and the heat electron radiated from the surface area of the material 3 layer other than the radiation area is controlled by the grid electrode and the acceleration electrode. Thus, the heat capacity including cap 2 and pellet 10 is reduced about 11% compared with the conventional amount, and the rise time until emergence of the picture image is reduced by 0.3 sec. with the life time increased more than double.</p> |
