PURPOSE:To provide a producing method of a rare earth elements-iron-boron or Co substd. rare earth elements-iron-Co-boron alloy thin plate, alloy powder therefrom and permacent magnet material used as a starting material of a magnetic material high in magnetic characteristics, especially a permanent magnet. CONSTITUTION:In the producting method of the rare earth elements-iron-boron or Co substd. rare earth elements-iron-Co-boron alloy thin plate, alloy powder therefrom and permanent magnet material, a molten metal consisting essentially of R, Fe and B or R, Fe, Co and B is quench-casted to the thin plate having 0.05-3mm thickness and having a uniform structure of a columnar crystal of an R2Fe14B type crystal constituting its main phase by the molten metal quenching method, then the thin plate is ground, and a powder metallargical processing is applied to produce the objective alloy thin plate, alloy powder and permanent magnet material. |
