POLYESTER CONJUGATED FIBER, ITS PRODUCTION, POLYESTER FIBER AND SILKY POLYESTER FABRIC AND THEIR PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a polyester fabric having excellent touch feeling and appearance similar to those of silk. SOLUTION: The polyester conjugated fibers are produced by carrying out the conjugated spinning of a polyester component A, having <=15% haze in a solution and hardly soluble by the treatment with an alkali and a component B, dissolvable in an alkali and removed at a rate of >=2 times based on that of the component A. The conjugated fibers have a cross-sectional shape of an ellipse having 1.5-3.5 flatness and a region of the component A is formed of an ellipse having 1.3-6 flatness in the fiber cross section. The component A is composed of a polyester component A1 and a copolyester A2. The polyester fabric is produced by processing the resultant polyester conjugated fibers into a fabric, carrying out the weight reduction treatment of the prepared fabric with the alkali, dissolving and removing the component B and comprises the polyester fiber composed of the polyester component A1. The polyester fabric has a silky deep color, an elegant luster and a touch feeling such as scroopiness.
