PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability by making a skip display of a cursor at a skip frequency corresponding to a cursor moving direction and a cursor position state when a cursor repeat is detected. SOLUTION: When a cursor is on a character, a skip quantity for the state is inputted and when not, a different skip quantity is inputted. After the skip quantity is calculated, it is checked whether a repeat frequency is equal to or larger than the skip quantity; when the repeat frequency is equal to or larger than the skip quantity, the repeat frequency is reset and a screen display is is made, thereby waiting for a next key. When the repeat frequency is not larger than the skip quality after the skip quantity, a next key is expected without resetting the repeat frequency and making the screen display, thus skipping the screen display.
