At least one part of the roller shutter device is movable in a predetermined direction between a first and second position on the guide. The protective component (3) during its movement through the guide device (7) operates a lever device (11, 13). This lever device brings the protective component, dependent upon the operation, selectively into or out of a static position. The lever device incorporates at least one lever component (11.3,13.3,13.5) which, dependent upon the operation, executes a movement running vertically to the predetermined movement of the protective component. The guide device (7) incorporates a guide strip (7.1), which is movably arranged vertically to the predetermined movement direction of the protective component.
