PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent discharge during polarization of a driving part, lowering of reliability of mechanical strength caused by excess stress during polarization of a power generation part, instability of transformer output caused by electrode exhaustion and lowering of output in a piezoelectric transformer of a structure wherein an electrode is formed by a screen print method wherein conductive paste is used in a long board-like piezoelectric ceramic plate surface. SOLUTION: Electrodes 2L, 2R, 3L, 3R of a driving part are provided with a ship in coating during screen print to an edge of a piezoelectric body 1 and discharge by field concentration during polarization is prevented by preventing printing run to a side surface of the piezoelectric body 1. Electrodes 7A, 7B of a power generation part 6 are not provided with a ship in coating, both ends of a band-like electrode are extended to an edge of the piezoelectric body 1, field concentration at a corner part of an electrode generated when a coating relief is provided is prevented and lowering of mechanical strength caused by generation of excess stress is prevented. Since electrodes 7A, 7B of a power generation part are independent respectively, electrode breakage is not generated and instability of output of a transformer and output lowering caused by electrode breakage are not generated. |
