PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an antiviral material capable of providing a preventing agent for preventing penetration of a virus by previously applying the antiviral material to a mucosal tissue for prevention of the viral infection, fine particles and filters for safely and readily removing or deactivating the virus in a solution or air, or a virucidal agents. SOLUTION: This antiviral material is obtained by bonding a mannose- bondable lectin through a hydrophilic polymer chain to a base material comprising a hydrophobic polymer chain, and formed so that the hydrophilic polymer chain may have >=2% water absorption and so that the hydrophobic polymer chain may have <=2% water absorption. The antiviral material is formed into fine particles having 100nm to 1mm particle diameter or a filter structure having 100nm to 10μm pore diameter. |
