<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain reduction in cost of a tape cassette by structuring a head block body movably in the width direction of a magnetic tape and structuring the recording and reproducing position so that the magnetic tape is held in the integrated structure of the head and a stabilizing plate. SOLUTION: In the unloaded state of a tape cassette TC, a pair of tape guides 3 is in the initial position, a head block body 4 in a standby position, and a magnetic head in a detached position. With the tape cassette TC inserted in a TC inserting port, a loaded state is present. In this state, each reel 12 of the tape cassette TC is loaded on each reel base 2 of a driving device D, with a pair of tape guides 3 of the driving device D situated in the inside space of the magnetic tape T of the cassette tape TC. The pair of tape guides 3 is loaded from the initial position onto the complete loaded position. Then, the head block 4 is loaded, with the tape T situated and stabilized between the magnetic head 5 and a stabilizing plate 6 in the recording and reproducing position.</p> |
