发明名称 METHOD FOR REFINING STAINLESS STEEL
摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reducing rate of chromium and the desulfurizing reaction and to extend the service life of a refractory by using specified anthracite as the reducing agent, at the time or recovering the chromium by supplying slag produced in decarburize-refining during a smelting reduction process in the other heat. SOLUTION: In the melting of a stainless steel, molten steel decarburized to a prescribed c concn. is immediately tapped in the decarburize-refining process, and the slag produced in the decarburize-refining process is supplied to the smelting reduction process in the other heat to reduce and recover chromium oxide contained in the slag. In this smelting reduction process, the anthracite having <=45 Hardgrove index and <=10% volatile matter content (VM) in the carbonaceous material is used as at least a part of the carbonaceous material used to the reducing agent at the time when the temp. of the molten steel is at >=1,500 deg.C and chromium oxide-containing slag and the chromium ore are reduced. By this method, the recovery of chromium oxidized in the decarburize- refining process and the recycle of the slag in the smelting reduction process are executed without trouble.</p>
