PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of erroneous input operation such as inputting omission by making difference between the display color of an original image to be a base sheet for document preparation and that of an image made by editable preparing document data thereby facilitating the identification of document data during preparation. SOLUTION: An image input device 3 is controlled to input image data obtained by reading the original image and to store it in an internal storage device. When the setting of the display color of the original image is designated, the display color of the original image to display is set according to image data. A display color control part 8 controls the display color of image data based on chrominance information 51 existing in the device 5 concerning what color to use for displaying the original image. Then when a candidate for the display color of the original image is selected and indicated, the display color of image data to display the original image is set to change (update) chrominance information 51 in the device 5. The part 8 displays the original image made by image data with a color corresponding to information set by color information 51 as the base sheet for document preparation. |
