This invention relates to pigment compositions prepared by co-precipitating a blend of (a) about 60 to about 95 percent by weight of a perylene pigment having the formula (see formula) wherein R1 and R2 are independently C1-C6 alkyl, C5-C7 cycloalkyl, C7-C16 aralkyl, or C6-C10 aryl; and about 5 to about 40 percent by weight of a polycyclic aromatic compound.
