An automated rotary spray system accomplishes painting job on inner and outer surface of a cylindrical object having a large diameter. A driving motor(1) raise or lower a top plate(14) by rotating a ball screw(8) via automatic transmission(5) and a driving gear(7). A spray bracket(15) which loads spray guns(24) ascends or descends depending on the rotation of an axis(16) which also depends on ascending and descending motion of the top plate. A differential gear(29) connected to the driving motor drives gears(17)(17'). One end of the axis of rotation(21) of the gear(17') is connected to the axis(16) so that it will rotate the spray bracket(15).
