The hinged section (2) of the wiper arm is made from sheet metal material, and the pivot pin (4) is formed from a tongue which is cut clear from the rest of the hinged section but still connected to it. The tongue is curved in a circular fashion, concentrically to the centre axis of the hinged joint (3). The pivot pin has a hollow cylindrical form, and in the axially extending butt joint, the opposite lying edges of the tongue join flush with each other.
