INSULATED, PLUG-IN CONNECTOR OF POWER CABLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insulated, plug-in connector of power cables that allows a cut edge to veriby the electrical performance at shipment, reduces time required for installation work at site, and obviates high skill. SOLUTION: A rubber molded unit 10 has on the circumference a semi- conductive layer 13 the edge of which is cut in the longitudinal direction. In a ring-shaped shielding unit 20, the ring-shaped semi-conductive layer 13 is buried in rubber insulator 11, and the ring-shaped semi-conductive layer 13 is exposed at part of the inside surface of the rubber insulator 11. The ring- shaped shielding unit 20 is attached to the abovementioned cut edge with the exposed portion of the semi-conductive layer 13 in tight contact with either end of the semi-conductive layer 13 at the cut edge of the rubber molded unit 10.
