The burner (1) is mounted on one side of the flame-wall (3) of the combustion chamber and inside an air supply duct (2). The coal dust and air mixture is blown into the burner via a supply duct (11) with an elbow to blow through the centre of the burner. A secondary air duct (19) and a tertiary air duct (22) are arranged coaxial to the main duct with outer rotating baffles (28) to control the relative air flows. The central fuel duct also has a lance (5) for igniting the burner, using oil or gas. The baffle sections are rigidly connected for a simple direct control, and with the apertures with angled opening profiles.
