1331838 Laminated containers AMERICAN CAN CO 19 April 1971 [21 April 1970] 9989/71 Heading B8D [Also in Division B5] A container 10 for pasteurized ham is made from a five layer laminate comprising two outer layers of H.D. polythene (20, 22, Fig. 2), two inner layers of L.D. polythene (24, 26, Fig. 2) and a central vinyl polymer layer (28, Fig. 2) located between the L.D. polythene layers and having barrier properties against the passage of gas, liquid and U.V. The vinyl polymer may be a co-polymer of vinyl chloride and vinylidene chloride. The container 10 may comprise a flange 16 for double seaming to a metal lid and a shoulder 18 for facilitating container nesting. |
