An alarm generating device which generates an alarm in case of a breakdown of electric current using a general telephone. The device comprises a power source(1), a telephone which includes a redial function so that a push switch(7) is turned off in case of a breakdown of electric current to cope with an emergency, an opening/closing device(6), a first limiter(3) which transmits redial signals, a second limiter(4), and a beeper(5) which receives an alarm transmitted according to the redial function of the telephone(2) to inform a user of an emergency.
