HIGH-SENSITIVE PENETRANT FOR CAPILLARY TEST AND TIGHTNESS TESTS

FIELD: nondestructive testing of materials and articles. SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for development of red color penetrant with high flaw detection properties (without or little percentage of chlorine and sulphur) on basis of aqueous solution of pigment with high coloring intensity synthesized on basis of home-produced water-soluble pigment. This is achieved by selection of original pigment, development of production technology of new pigment from it and penetrant with needed properties and evaluation of flaw detection properties of penetrant. Proposed penetrant being part of mixture makes it possible to detect surface cracks with opening 0.3-0.6 μm and through flaws with air stream of about 10cu.m Ps/s and can be used in any branch of industry. EFFECT: development of penetrant with high flaw detection properties.
