PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an internal part already under a stand-by state from being made active again by a change of other I/O selection signals, by means of providing a timer circuit in each input system of plural I/O selection signals. SOLUTION: Each input system of plural I/O selection signals IOS1 , IOS2 ,..., IOSn is provided with a timer circuit. And individual timer circuits T are supplied with pulse A0 -An , pulseϕCS, and correspondingϕIOSn (IOS1 or IOS2 ) respectively. Consequently, each timer circuit T can be controlled by each I/O selection signal. Thus, a standby state and an operation state in each semiconductor memory with respect to each of the plural I/O selection signals ISO1 and ISO2 can independently be changed over to/from each other.
