PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high definition color stereoscopic picture by improving vertical resolution. SOLUTION: In this device green color pixels 11a are respectively connected to each odd-numbered scanning line X1, X3,... along right and left direction and a pair of red color pixels 11a and a pair of blue color pixels 11a are respectively and mutually connected to each even numbered scanning line X2, X4,.... Then odd numbered signal lines Y1, Y3,... are respectively provided with a picture signal for a right eye and even numbered signal lines Y2, Y4,... are respectively provided with a picture signal for a left eye. Each color pixel 11a connected to an adjacent pair of signal lines is distributed to the right and left eyes by a lenticular lens 12a. An adjacent pair of scanning lines is successively provided with the scanning signal for one scanning line, and the combination of a pair of scanning lines provided with the scanning signal is different in an odd number field and an even number field from each other. |
